DIY Therapeutic Heat Pack

 

Treat discomfort from injuries naturally! This DIY Therapeutic Heat Pack is easy to make and uses essential oils to add therapeutic and calming effects!Are you and your family active?  Do you fight over the heating pad in your house? Well…. as normal as this may not be, this is the norm for us! 🙂

Between my husband, my dog, and myself, there is always an injury of some kind present in my household!  My husband is an ultra marathoner, so sore muscles are no stranger to him!  My dog is had 2 CCL surgeries (ACL in humans), so he gets sore sometimes after long hikes and rough playing  And me….?  Dancing, hiking, or just falling down on flat ground always leaves me with an injury to an appendage of mine!  Since we all end up fight over the use of the electric heating pad we have, I decided to make another one for us to share. This pack is extremely easy to make, incredibly inexpensive, and couple it with the use of Young Living Essential Oils  and add some pretty potent therapeutic effects!  (more…)

No Churn Espresso Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

 This No Churn Espresso Chocolate Chip Ice Cream is so easy to make! Within 10 minutes, you can mix all ingredients together and pop it in the freezer! 

Is there anyone in the world that doesn’t LOVE ice cream?  Well, I might say I LOVE coffee/ espresso MORE actually…. Hard decision to make.  Combining the two though, and WHOA!  That might be the greatest thing on earth!  I want to welcome the warmer weather here in NY with some of this creamy, coffee goodness.  What better way to do that then to make No Churn Espresso Chocolate Chip Ice Cream? Hearty, Healthy Vegetarian Bean Chili

This Hearty, Healthy Vegetarian Bean Chili heats you up from the inside, out. Carnivores LOVE this chili too. It's a one pot recipe, easy to make!
Greetings from a Winter Wonderland here in NY.  We just got hit with 5 inches of snow today, and there is another BIG storm headed right for us in another few days.  Wanting to keep warm inside as the flakes fall outside today, I made this Hearty, Healthy Vegetarian Bean Chili.  Heats you up from the inside out.  Carnivores will LOVE this chili as well.  It’s a one pot recipe, taking only a few minutes to prep, which leaves me plenty of time to relax in front of the fire with Dexterdoodles!

I LOVE Maple Syrup?  Do you?!?!?!?!   I just finished making my fourth batch of maple syrup this year.  So far, we have 5 gallons of this liquid gold! That leaves no limitation to using this sweet stuff on everything I possibly can!  Today’s use- using it to make this Healthy Maple Nut Granola. Packed with nuts, seeds, and grains, roasted PERFECTLY with my homemade maple syrup, offers a sweet protein packed punch. If you have less than 5 minutes to mix the ingredients, you can make a batch of this Healthy Maple Nut Granola all for yourself. You can tailor it to your liking, using the nuts, seeds, and even dried fruits of your choice.  The possibilities are endless! 1-meet-up-mondayHello!  How are you doing?  I am so glad that you are joining in the best part of Monday- The Meet Up Link Party #75!   What have you been up to this week?  I know last I promised to post about my experience making maple syrup!  I have to admit, my post isn’t quite finished yet because we have been so busy making SYRUP!:)  I am working on the post in between boiling and bottling!  We have been having a pretty good season despite the freakishly warm temperatures here in NY.  We have made about 5 1/2 gallons of syrup so far in the last 3 weeks.
