DIY All Natural Body Cream {Whipped}

The change of seasons is here, and for me, that means my skin goes through changes as well.  As we move into the cooler, less humid season here in NY, my skin tends to become dry.  THAT STOPS NOW!  I have made this all natural, super-rich, decadent DIY All Natural Body Cream to end my dry skin nonsense!  No more scaley skin for me.  No more rough elbows. No more splits in the creases of my finger folds! 🙂  Pure, smooth, comfort that is not greasy, and SO creamy!  The best part about this recipe is how easy it is to get the ingredients, and how little it costs to make!

Here’s what you need:

Here’s what you do:

  1. In a double boiler, heat the shea butter, aloe vera, and coconut oil until it is melted. Remove from the heat once liquefied.
  2. Add the sweet almond oil, vitamin E oil, and Young Living Essential Oils into the melted mixture and stir to incorporate. Allow to cool for about 20 minutes.  Putting it in the refrigerator works great!
  3.  After cooled, with a mixer or a hand mixer, whip the mixture to the “fluff” consistency of spreadable frosting!
  4. Transfer the whipped mixture to a 4 or 6 oz. glass jar.  I use Ball Jar brand because they have wide mouths and are easy to use,  Do not use plastic because the citrus oils can break down the petrochemicals in the plastics and the integrity can be compromised.

  1. Neat recipe! It looks like the texture is lovely. I’ve recently acquired lavender essential oil so I’m having fun experimenting with putting it in different things… bet it would be wonderful in this recipe 😀

  2. This looks so rich and creamy, and perfect for people with sensitive and uber dry skin, like moi. My skin is taking a beating in the last couple of weeks. Summer is long gone here in Canada. Lol! I’m in such denial!

  3. I used to work for a fancy French skincare boutique and got super spoiled by awesome discounts on products that I justify paying full price for…but this looks like a great replacement for some of my favorite products! Thanks so much!

  4. Hi. What happens if, when you go to whip it, it stays liquid and doesn’t thicken or get fluffy at all? Is it just not cold enough?

    • Hey Jamie. Yes, probably. That’s happened to me. Put it in the fridge for 10 minutes and then whip again. Repeat until whipped. It always hardens a bit more when in the jar so whip it just until you like the consistency and stop. Hope this helps! Let me know how it turns out! It’s happened to me too! 😜
