This sponsored post has come at the perfect time because I was just thinking about how I could share with you about how to get the MOST restful sleep. All opinions are 100% my own!
I have a really busy schedule- a teacher by day, blogger by night. I am ALWAYS on the go- fitting in all the things I need to complete before the day’s end. While you might be thinking that a busy person should have no trouble falling asleep, it is quite the contrary! My brain is always working on overdrive and sometimes I find it nearly impossible to get some zzzz’s. In hopes to allow my mind to quiet down and relax, I actually did 2 things… I made this FABULOUS Lavender Vetiver Deep Sleep Balm and I ordered a new Nectar Memory Foam Mattress on the internet, all in a matter of minutes. The balm works like magic for me- almost instantly bringing my senses back down to the ground and allowing a deep sense of relaxation to quiet my brain. I just rub a bit of this balm on my neck, chest, and feet before bed, and off I go into slumberland on my new mattress.
Ordering my mattress was so easy. Given my busy schedule, I LOVED the fact that I didn’t have to travel anywhere to go shopping it. I was comfortable getting this mattress because Nectar has a 365 day trial period. When it arrived at my door, it took about 15 minutes to set up. Check out how easy it was:

Here’s what you need to make 4oz:
- 1/4 cup of coconut oil
- 2 teaspoons of grated beeswax
- 1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil OR grape seed oil
- 3 drops of Lavender Young Living Essential Oils
- 3 drops of Vetiver Young Living Essential Oils
- 4oz glass jar
******* I ONLY use Young Living Essential Oils. They are of the highest quality, PURE, cold-pressed or steam distilled (meaning NO chemicals are used in their production like many store-bought ones), and SAFE. Young Living Essential Oils go through STRICT testing and monitoring procedures to insure their purity and content. They are a Start to Seed company which means that you can trace the lots of oils back to the very fields they were grown on, therefore their production process as well. Here’s what you do:
- In a double boiler (I use a Pyrex bowl that sits in a sauce pan that can heat water), melt the beeswax and coconut oil over low heat.
- Once liquefied, remove from heat. Add the sweet almond or grapeseed oil, and mix to incorporate all oils thoroughly.
- Add in the essential oils and stir.
- Pour into a 4 oz glass jar, and allow to cool. Be sure to store the balm in a glass container if possible because glass is nonporous and will keep the integrity of the oils for longer.
